This activity helped students make connections between the five themes of geography or the schema for understanding the world. I took pictures of the environment around me on a daily basis. I recorded the time, place and direction in which the picture was taken. I gave a description of the context of the location, while also making connections to the five themes of geography and indicating the themes included in the picture.
ILA ProjectMy ILA Project had me focus on a one standards for first grade geography, which are also included in my unit plan. I constructed a powerpoint of various resources I would use when teaching this standard in the classroom. The resources come from a wide range of learning styles in order to present students with different learning.

Core Democratic Values In the NewsThis assignment has students searching through news sources to find a article where one can see two different CDVs in play. It then helps students focus their search and see which branches of government are at play.

The Library of Congress proves to be an excellent resource for future teachers and their students. The Web Quest I completed had me traveling through the website and discovering the many opportunities it provided. I did some activities and answered questions based on the information I saw online. I also made my own activity and reflected on the importance of using this website as a resource.

Econ MysteriesStudents are asked to solve economic mysteries, so students can learn more about the concepts of economics. In this assignment, I also came up with my own economic mystery, which helps students see economics working right in front of them.
