A little Bit about Emily Welcome! My name is Emily Ringquist and I am a graduate from Grand Valley State University with an Elementary Education degree and an emphasis in Language Arts. Teaching has always held a special place in my heart, fueling a passion to offer students the resources and assets they need to step foot into the world. Children have always been an influential part of my life, always challenging my thinking and expanding my view of the world. I only hope I can engage students in learning not only to better themselves, but to better the world around them.
Growing up in a great school system in Holland, Michigan, I was able to fully experience the extensive affect that teachers can leave with students. My teachers left footprints on my heart and encouraged learning not only in the classroom, but in every aspect of life. I want to be able to provide students with firm foundation that is individualized to them so he or she can continue to build on top of their foundation as they experience life. Through my education and interactions with hundreds of different children, I have learned about the importance to identify each students strengths and accommodate learning styles to fit what each individual student needs. This allows a better student to teacher relationship, where both are working for the same outcome. By focusing on each student's strengths and how they learn, I believe I can create an engaging classroom that will further the minds of all of my students. |
